Why timing beats a bigger list

Everyone is buying more data. Almost no one is buying better timing. The second one is where the deals are.

The instinct when pipeline is thin is to buy more contacts. More names, more sequences, more volume. It feels like progress because the numbers go up. But a bigger list does not change the one thing that decides whether a call lands: whether the company is ready to hear from you right now.

A reason beats a rolodex

A call that opens with a specific, recent reason is a different conversation from a cold introduction. Not because the script is cleverer, but because you have earned the right to the time. You are not interrupting. You are responding to something that just happened.

Freshness is a perishable asset

A signal is worth the most the day it appears and less every day after. By the time a moment reaches a bought list, it has been aggregated, cleaned, resold, and called. The value has already leaked out. The teams that win are not the ones with the most data. They are the ones who act on it first.
